User Led Organisation - South Cheshire Community Council

I'm Dave and I work for the South Cheshire Community Council based in Crewe.

We are now completely user-led - as we want to be. I am the only paid member of staff at the moment - you know how hard it is to get funding!

We are open 5 days per week, from 10am till 4pm - don't like early starts you see!

We offer free counselling at the point of reference - ie. call in/phone - after initial interview and assessment the client can usually be seen the following week.

Plus, we now have a new Newsletter/Magazine called Interface which is distributed free to various, relevant venues/organisations. As said, we are open 5 days a week and all Service Users, past, present, and future can call in at any time for a chat and a brew - we then train them to make copious amounts of tea/coffee for us thereafter
