Drums and Raindrops

In my little world-
Paranoia.
I can't stop the fear,
Everyone's staring.
I walk alone,
Hidden by the mist-
Tucked into my place
I should feel safe.
Why did you leave me?
Since you've been gone
Drums and raindrops
Flood my head.
And where are you now?
You never said goodbye.
You should never have been
Taken away from me.
Each day, hope fades
With the setting sun.
Will I see you again?
Will you hear me call your name?
Pounding drums pound my cries,
As the rain pours down.
That face in the mirror
Is slowly fading.
As I close my eyes
For another sleepless night,
I'm forever waiting
For you to come back to me.
