Cambridgeshire Mental Health Care - A gateway to information about mental health and services available in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Includes ‘living positively’ (relaxation, eating healthily, sleeping etc), voluntary sector support and self-help groups

Deptford Hearing Voices Service - Support and info for voice hearers - includes a brilliant FAQ section with a detailed rundown on coping strategies that other people have found useful. I haven't found a better list on the internet yet!

LAMPdirect (Leicestershire) - Lots of information on a wide range of issues (including housing and benefits), an extensive contact directory (local & nationwide), news and a discussion board

Mind in Manchester - Information on the local activities of the group, current newsletter, thought-provoking discussion articles, resources, and more ...

Network For Change (Leicestershire) - Recovery focussed voluntary organisation which provides housing support, outreach and a resource centre

Newcastle Search Project - Works with older people and their carers, providing a range of services including information and welfare rights, health and leisure activities, community resources and support

Somerset & Wessex Eating Disorders Association - User led charity, based in south of England – but relavent to all. Lots of interesting articles, UK support finder, leaflets, info on their services, poetry, prose, inspirational quotes and more

Sussex Hearing Voices - Information on local hearing voices self help support groups, information on hearing voices and a discussion forum

Wallsend Self Help Group - Support for those with Anxiety, Depression, OCD and other stress and phobia related problems. The site includes basic mental health info, programme of groups, self help articles and info on the organisation

Wokingham & West Berkshire Mental Health Association - Forward thinking local organisation that has a crisis house, holiday caravan, drop in centre etc. Site includes mental health related news, their own newsletter, a forum, and info on their services

Alzheimers Society - Includes facts about dementia, treatment options (including alternative therapies), a good 'real lives' section containing personal experiences and tips for coping, information for carers and a discussion forum

Contact The Elderly - Organises monthly gatherings for elderly people who live alone. Website includes details of the scheme, which has over 200 groups nationwide

Help The Aged - UK based charity, website has lots of helpful advice on topics ranging from depression to keeping warm, an online shopping area, info on research, useful links, their services and an 'ask an advisor' section

Search Project - Works with older people and their carers, in Newcastle, providing a range of services including information and welfare rights, health and leisure activities, community resources and support

'Personality Disorders'

Borderline UK - A national user-led network of people within the UK who meet the criteria, or who have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Includes info, resources, guide to therapy, crisis houses, medication and support

BPD Sanctuary - Borderline personality disorder education, communities, support, books, and resources. Includes an excellent ‘ask the expert’ section

James Naylor Foundation - A charity dedicating to understanding and treating 'personality disorders'. Believes that traumatic experiences are at the root of peoples difficulties. Site includes publications and details of events and workshops.

Personality Disorder: No Longer A Diagnosis Of Exclusion - A user-friendly site aimed at everyone from those diagnosed with a 'personality disorder' to those that commission services to help them. Contains information on 'personality disorders', support & recovery, existing services, research and the national training programme

Personality Plus - A user led Community Interest Company established which aims to engage with people interested in using creativity to challenge the stigma experienced by people given a diagnosis of personality disorder

Scottish Personality Disorder Network - Aims to improve the support and treatment of those diagnosed with a personality disorder in Scotland. Includes info on support groups, training, events, treatments and services
