Be Kind to YOURSELF in 4 easy steps This means YOU !! Even if you do have a Mental Heath problem. 1) ACCEPT yourself as you are unconditionally – you are not perfect and neither is anyone else who walks this Earth so accept all your weaknesses and imperfections just as you are. 2) LOVE yourself unconditionally – we all love our families, friends and pets – for goodness sake have some love for you. When you have a quiet moment or are in bed at night in your mind tell yourself that you love yourself – it’s easy, no one else can hear you. When you look in the mirror tell yourself that you love yourself and it will bring a smile to your face. Do this regularly. 3) FORGIVE yourself unconditionally – everyone in life has at some time or another done something or many things that later they wished they hadn’t or disapproved of. These are mistakes that we have all made, everyone makes mistakes and they are a normal part of being a Human Being because we learn from our mistakes. The biggest and worst mistakes we make are usually the ones we learn the most from. Remember the person who has never made a mistake has never made anything. 4) APPROVE of yourself unconditionally – you are a unique individual and yet paradoxically the same as everyone else. Recognise your strengths and the achievements you have made in life. Be kind to yourself, stop being so critical and judgemental of yourself and whenever possible give yourself a treat, why not, you deserve a treat just as much or the same as anybody else.
